A Romantic & Emotional Columbus Museum of Art Wedding | Habeeb & Dylan

Grooms on stairs of art museum with wedding party surrounding them

As a Columbus Ohio wedding photographer, few venues make my heart flutter quite like the Columbus Museum of Art. Its blend of timeless architecture, beautiful galleries, and modern elegance creates the perfect backdrop for a wedding day that feels intimate, elevated, and full of meaning. And for Habeeb and Dylan’s celebration on October 18th, 2025, the museum became the beating heart of one of the most emotional, artful, and beautifully designed days I’ve ever had the privilege to photograph.

From the moment I walked in, it was clear this was going to be a wedding layered with intention. Every detail felt personal. Every space was styled with warmth. And every moment overflowed with love – not just between these two incredible people, but from every person who witnessed them say “I do.”

Getting Ready Together: A Quiet, Meaningful Start

Instead of getting ready separately, Habeeb and Dylan opted for a slow, gentle start to their day together. At around 3 p.m., they settled into a private room inside the Columbus Museum of Art, helping each other get ready, straightening jackets, adjusting ties, and sharing quiet moments before the celebration unfolded around them.

It was a sweet, grounding way to begin a day full of emotion. No crowds. No chaos. Just the two of them, soaking in the reality that this was the day they would officially begin their married life together. As their photographer, watching them center themselves in each other instead of the whirlwind of tradition was something truly special.

Their maids of honor helped them with their finishing touches. Watching their excitement and emotion as they saw Habeeb and Dylan looking so dapper was such a great moment!

Artful Portraits & The Coolest Surprise: The Corvette

Once they were dressed, we gathered their wedding party outside on the museum steps for portraits. We started with an editorial look and then we lightened the mood with big energy, lots of laughter, and the perfect contrast to the intimate start of the day.

Then came one of the most unique parts of their day: Dylan’s dad brought out his Corvette for a round of portraits outside the museum. The sleek lines of the car against the iconic architecture of the Columbus Museum of Art created such a bold, unforgettable moment. It was personal, stylish, and totally them.

We explored some of the museum’s most stunning gallery spaces for portraits. A few of the exhibits even featured chalk-based artwork – soft, textured, and visually striking, which gave their portraits a uniquely creative and refined feel.

Just before their family photos, Habeeb and Dylan shared a private room reveal – a quiet moment to breathe in the beauty of what had been created for them. Allowing time in this moment allowed them to let their emotions sink in – it was the day they’d finally get to get married!

A Ceremony Overflowing With Emotion in Edwards Court

Their ceremony took place in the stunning Edwards Court, which had been transformed into a warm, romantic oasis by SOCO 36 Events and Prema Designs. Rich, deep colors, lush greenery, epic chandeliers, and thoughtfully selected décor made the space feel modern and intimate.

Their wedding party walked in and stood up in the front, ready to witness a memorable ceremony.

And then, the emotion truly began.

Habeeb walked down the aisle escorted by his sister, Mariya, both of them deeply moved as they made their way through the room. Moments later, Dylan entered, escorted by his mom, whose love and pride radiated from her. She also read a heartfelt poem during the ceremony – one of those beautiful, tender moments that had everyone holding back tears.

But nothing compared to their vows.

Handwritten, personal, poetic… their words to each other were so meaningful that there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. Even behind the camera, I felt myself tearing up. It was one of the most powerful, emotional moments I’ve captured as a Columbus Museum of Art wedding photographer.

Cocktail Hour in the Sculpture Garden

While Edwards Court was transformed for the reception, guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the museum’s Sculpture Garden – a crisp, breezy outdoor space surrounded by art and modern architecture.

Signature drinks, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and a cozy sofa and chairs set the perfect tone for the celebration ahead. Friends mingled, family hugged, and laughter echoed throughout the garden.

A Moody, Elegant Reception to Remember

When guests re-entered Edwards Court for the reception, they were met with an entirely new experience. The space had been completely flipped – and it was breathtaking.

Picture this:
Warm, deep-toned colors.
Lush florals and greenery.
Thoughtful tablescapes.
Chandeliers and candles.
A checkered dance floor anchoring the room.

Everything together created an atmosphere that was moody, romantic, and timeless – exactly the vibe Habeeb and Dylan envisioned. SOCO 36 and Prema Designs knocked it out of the park!

Once the formalities began, the emotions continued. Their first dances were tender and deeply meaningful. The toasts were heartfelt, hilarious, and full of love. And once DJ Axcess opened the dance floor… the party exploded! Energy everywhere. Guests dancing hard. Pure joy on every face.

It was the kind of reception you wish you could photograph again and again – full of movement, laughter, and music that pulled everyone to their feet.

Gratitude for a Beautiful Day

Habeeb and Dylan’s wedding is one I’ll carry with me for a long time. Not just because it was stunning. Not just because the museum is a dream to photograph. But because these two poured their hearts into this celebration – and their people poured their hearts right back.

It was a privilege to document their love, their joy, their tears, and every piece of their unforgettable Columbus Museum of Art wedding.
