Summer Wedding at Pinnacle Golf Club in Grove City, Ohio

Aiden and Isaiah’s August wedding at Pinnacle Golf Club in Grove City, Ohio, was the perfect summer celebration. Located just outside Columbus, Pinnacle Golf Club is one of those Central Ohio wedding venues that feels like a destination while still being conveniently close to the city.

Their wedding was filled with beautiful details, meaningful family moments, plenty of laughter, an emotional ceremony, an energetic dance floor, golden hour portraits, and all of the little in-between moments that made the day feel like theirs. More than anything, Aiden and Isaiah wanted to spend the day celebrating with the people they love and making memories together, and that is exactly what they did.

As a Columbus wedding photographer who absolutely loves Pinnacle Golf Club, I was especially excited to photograph their wedding there. The venue has a beautiful, almost castle-like feel, with gorgeous grounds, a tucked-away outdoor ceremony space, a lovely patio for cocktail hour, and a grand ballroom that gives couples plenty of room to make the space their own.

Getting Ready at Pinnacle Golf Club

Aiden and Isaiah both finished getting ready at Pinnacle Golf Club, which made the beginning of the day feel easy and relaxed.

Since their priority was spending as much time as possible enjoying their wedding day with their friends and family, we intentionally kept the posed photography to a minimum. We still made time for the important portraits and family photos, but I wanted to make sure photography never became the thing keeping them away from their celebration.

They even split their immediate family photos between before and after the ceremony to make the timeline work a little more smoothly.

You don’t need to spend hours taking formal portraits to have beautiful wedding photos. A thoughtful timeline can give you the photographs you want while still leaving plenty of time to actually experience your wedding day.

An Emotional Ceremony in the Courtyard

Aiden and Isaiah did not have a first look, so Isaiah’s first time seeing Aiden was when she walked down the aisle.

And it was worth the wait.

Aiden looked absolutely incredible, and seeing Isaiah’s reaction as she came toward him was one of those moments I was so happy to be there to photograph.

Their ceremony took place in one of the tucked-away outdoor spaces at Pinnacle Golf Club in Grove City, creating a beautiful and intimate setting for them to exchange their vows.

There was an especially meaningful connection built into their ceremony, too: Isaiah’s dad was their officiant.

Watching him marry his son and Aiden made the ceremony even more personal, and there were plenty of emotional moments throughout. It was clear just how much this day meant to everyone gathered there.

A Classic Summer Wedding at Pinnacle Golf Club

Aiden and Isaiah chose a navy and gold color palette with touches of white and cream, which worked beautifully with the elegant setting at this Central Ohio wedding venue.

The ballroom is one of my favorite parts of Pinnacle Golf Club. Its gorgeous chandeliers give the space a grand feel, while the ballroom itself acts as a bit of a blank canvas, allowing each couple to bring their own personality into the space.

One of my favorite details was the gift they gave their guests: pears! Each guest received a pear in a little bag with a sweet “What a Pear” message. It was such a cute and unexpected favor, and exactly the kind of personal detail that makes a wedding memorable.

A Beautiful Pinnacle Golf Club Wedding Reception

After the ceremony, guests moved to the patio for cocktail hour before heading into Pinnacle’s grand ballroom for the reception.

The day continued exactly as Aiden and Isaiah hoped it would: surrounded by family, celebrating, laughing, eating, dancing, and enjoying being together.

Aiden and her dad also surprised everyone with a fun choreographed father-daughter dance. She was a little nervous beforehand and really wanted to nail it and they absolutely pulled it off! It was such a fun moment to photograph, and even more meaningful knowing how much it meant to both of them.

The dance floor had plenty of energy throughout the evening, along with a few funny moments that made their way into my camera. Those are some of my favorite reception photos to capture because you can’t manufacture them. They’re the moments that happen when everyone is comfortable, having fun, and completely caught up in the celebration.

There was also a bouquet toss and plenty of opportunities to photograph their friends and family simply enjoying themselves.

Golden Hour Portraits at Pinnacle Golf Club

One of the biggest photography highlights of their wedding day was the sunset.

The sun dipped into just the right spot, giving us gorgeous warm, golden light for their portraits. Even though the August weather was getting a little toasty, Aiden and Isaiah were more than willing to sneak away for some time together.

The grounds at Pinnacle Golf Club gave us plenty of variety, and the combination of the beautiful venue, summer greenery, and warm evening light made for some seriously magical portraits.

These are the kinds of wedding portraits I love most: beautiful and intentional, but still feeling like the couple and the day.

Film Photography and a Creative Nighttime Portrait

I also incorporated a little bit of film photography into Aiden and Isaiah’s wedding day, which was such a fun way to add another layer to their gallery.

Later in the evening, we headed outside again for a little creative nighttime portrait. Isaiah and some of the guys enjoyed a cigar, and I was able to capture a few photos of the moment.

I always love when my couples are willing to go along with one of my creative ideas. Sometimes those spontaneous moments end up being some of the most memorable images from the entire day.

Their wedding gallery ended up with a fun mix of emotional moments, family photos, colorful reception memories, classic portraits, candid moments, golden hour images, film photographs, and creative nighttime shots.
